I'm kind of new to mac, i was looking for 'apt-get' kind of way to install packages on mac but i didn't find yet may be i didn't spent enough time due to busy in work, i'll post it when i find it. For now lets see how to install ipython

first i installed pip, i guess you know how to install ipython using pip.

sudo easy_install pip

install ipython using python package manager

sudo pip install ipython
